As Pakistanis, cricket runs in our blood. We heavily invest our money, energy, and emotions in it. Then, being fans of an unpredictable team is another level. We can give shocks, and heart attacks in a single match. Shahid Afridi a.k. a Lala has retired from international cricket and PSL, but that doesn’t mean he is going to sit back and relax. He has launched the T10 Mega Star League, which will be held in September. We are thrilled and excited about what is going to happen in it.
Afridi has been a brand name in Pakistan Cricket. He has had a glamorous career with outstanding stats that are etched in the memory of the fans. He had played 27 Tests, 398 ODIs, and 99 T20Is for Pakistan.
According to Shahid Afridi, international players will also be part of this tournament. “Mega Star League is an entertaining league, which is scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi this year. The idea behind introducing this league is to financially support the ex-cricketers, athletes, and sports journalists. The MSL will feature six teams, and foreign players will also take part in the upcoming league.”

Former legendary players Inzamam-ul-Haq, Waqar Younis, and Mushtaq Ahmed were all present at the event and are all expected to take part in the MSL this year. Funnily, Afridi said that PSL is for youngsters. Older players should also have a league to satisfy their cricket spirit after retirement. “PSL is for youngsters and I am not young enough anymore. I, Mushtaq Ahmed, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis will play in MSL.”
Proud to endorse the biggest and first of its kind league across the globe. MEGA STARS LEAGUE is here to not only provide cricketainment to the people of Pakistan but also help and support our ex cricketers, sports journalist and artist’s community. https://t.co/BVH6zA8PLQ
