After her ex-husband Shoaib Malik recently wed Pakistani tennis star Sana Javed, former Indian tennis player Sania Mirza posted a moving moment on Instagram. After confirming her divorce from the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, Sania posted her first social media post, a picture of herself in front of a mirror with a single word caption.
Following a period of quiet during which Sania’s family made the separation announcement, the post was made. Sania, who is regarded as one of India’s best tennis players, perseveres in navigating her voyage in spite of personal difficulties. One of the photos in her post showed her looking in the mirror. “Reflect,” she wrote next to it.
However, at this same period, Sana’s ex-husband, singer Umair Jaswal, also posted on Instagram. In it, he thanked God for the clear day and asked for prayers for rain and people who are suffering from respiratory problems. With a disheveled beard, the musician uploaded a photo of himself wearing white. He wrote next to it, “Jummah Mubarak. Thank God it’s a clear sky and a beautiful sunny day. Please remember to offer up specific prayers for rain in our nation and for those who are experiencing respiratory problems. Allah sab ko shifa day, which means “may God heal everyone.” Aameen. Light and Love.”
Following Shoaib and Sana’s public marriage announcement, these Instagram posts sparked rumors and curiosity regarding Sania and Umair’s reactions. Sania’s only social media activity during this time was posting content on X, which was formerly Twitter, mostly on her work as an Australian Open announcer. Notably, Sania hinted at personal hardships in cryptic posts she shared on her Instagram account just days before Shoaib announced his marriage.
Following Shoaib’s declaration, Sania’s family issued a statement verifying the couple’s split. The statement emphasized Sania’s long-standing dedication to maintaining the privacy of her personal life, but it also acknowledged that it was necessary to disclose that she and Shoaib had just separated. The pair was married in April 2010 and are now living with Sania with their five-year-old kid, Izaan.
Before Shoaib and Sana’s marriage was made public, Sania also uploaded a reshared Instagram story on her story that revealed her thoughts on the difficulties of marriage and divorce: “Marriage is hard, Divorce is hard.” Select your hardest.
