Ronaldo and Messi will play each other one more time in Saudi Arabia in February of next year. All three are football stars.

The two teams most recently played each other on the football pitch in January of this year. Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain played Riyadh All-Stars XI, and the former won 5–4.

As their careers come to an end on different countries, many people think it will be the last time Messi and Ronaldo play together.

Both strikers have been the best in world football for more than ten years. In 2008, Ronaldo won the first of five Ballon d’Or awards. The two of them shared the famous trophy 12 times over the next 14 years.

Before the 2024 Major League Soccer season, Ronaldo, who plays for the Saudi club Al Nassr, will play Messi, who plays for Inter Miami. The friendly match is called “The Last Dance” to honour their likely last match together on the pitch.

Messi, who is 36 years old, made his name mostly at Barcelona. Ronaldo, who is 38 years old and moved from Manchester United to Real Madrid in 2009, hit great heights at their fierce rivals Real Madrid.

A World Cup or Champions League game would have been a great place for their last game, given how important they were to the sport. The Riyadh Season Cup, on the other hand, puts an end to their long-running feud on the pitch.

Since Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid in 2009, they have played each other in one of Europe’s biggest rivalries for nine years.

Fans always argued about who was better, but Messi’s record eight Ballon d’Ors and Argentina’s win at the 2022 World Cup have probably put an end to that.

There will definitely be more talk about comparing Messi and Ronaldo’s reputations after the friendly in February.
