In the final of Super Copa De Espana also known as the Spanish Super Cup, played in Al-Awwal Stadium Saudi Arabia, Real Madrid lifted the trophy after defeating arch-rivals Barcelona by 4 goals to 1.

In the final Real Madrid dominated the play right from the kick-off as they are doing during the ongoing season. The La Liga leaders broke the deadlock only in the seventh minute when Vinicius Junior received a brilliant through ball from the central mid-field area which he took around the goalkeeper and netted it with his right foot to make the score 1-0. It took only three more minutes for Vinicius Jr. to make the score 2-0 when he tapped the ball into the back of the net with a slide from a perfect Rodrygo cross in from the right flank.

Robert Lewandowski shot a brilliant volley from outside the box to half the deficit for his team in the 33rd minute. Real Madrid goalkeeper Lunin’s disparate dive wasn’t enough to stop the ball. It didn’t get long for Real Madrid to gain a two-goal lead as Vinicius Jr. rolled the ball into the bottom corner from the penalty spot in the 39th minute. This penalty brought a brilliant first-half hat trick for the young and super-talented Brazilian prodigy.

At the half-time whistle, Real Madrid was leading 3-1 against the Catalonians. The second half saw only one goal which again came from Real Madrid as Rodrygo netted the ball into Barca’s net in the 64th minute of the match to make the score 4-1 in Los Blanco’s fever. This score remained till the final whistle which brought Real Madrid another success and trophy under the brilliant management of Carlo Ancelotti.
