Pakistan Win Central Asian Volleyball Championship

Pakistan beat Iran 3-1 in the final to clinch the Central Asian Volleyball Championship at Gymnasium Hall of the Sports Board Punjab in Lahore on Tuesday.

Hosts Before Iran rallied to win the third set 25-23, Pakistan won the first two sets 25-17 and 25-16, respectively.

In the fourth set, Pakistan came back strongly, ending the match with a score of 25-20 and winning the championship.

The championship victory was the cherry on top for Pakistan, which was hosting the five-team competition for the first time in 17 years. In addition to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran also took part in the competition.

 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated the volleyball team on his Twitter handle and praised their determination and hard work.
