Pakistan Expected Playing XI for Final Pool Match

Pakistan will play its last pool match of ICC men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 against England on Saturday. Pakistan is currently at the fifth position on the points table. Pakistan has equal point as New Zealand. New Zealand has a better run rate.

Pakistan need to win the match by at least 287 runs or by at least 284 balls to spare while batting first. The tasks seem impossible.

Babar Azam is counting on hard hitter opener Fakhar Zaman to give Pakistan an aggressive start when the green shirts come out to bat. Fakhar is coming at back of a brilliant and firry innings against New Zealand. Abdullah Shafique is accepted to open innings with Fakhar Zaman.

Haris Rauf was also seen bowling in the nets. Haris was taken off the field in the match against New Zealand. The pacer felt discomfort in rib sprain in the previous match. He went under medical check and tests in a private hospital in Kolkata. Haris Rauf found a negative MRI test result in the latest report.

Pakistani all-rounder Shadab Khan also made it to the practice session in the Edan Garden stadium. He missed last two matches for Pakistan against Bangladesh and New Zealand. Shadab is one of the best fielders of the world and unarguably the best in the Pakistani side.

Today’s match is a do or die situation for the men in green. If Pakistani qualifies for the semi-final, they’ll face India in 1st semi-final on November 16th.
