Pak-India tussle can never get old. There is always something going on between the two countries. We mean India is so much in love with us that when they didn’t get the chance to enter Pakistan through the land route, they resorted to the sea route. What do you want now is it the tea again or Karachi ki biriyani? Whatever is it you can ask for it but entering into Pakistan’s space without permission doesn’t sound cool. Yes! the news is all over the media about Indian submarine intrusion into Pakistani waters.
Three years ago, India entered Pakistan under the guise of an ‘attack on terrorist camps’ and later on justified it with videos that were taken from video games. Pakistan stopped that attack and even treated their pilot with tea and sent him off to his country. Moreover, because of our tea, he even got a promotion. But that didn’t mean in any way that Pakistan did it because it doesn’t know how to retaliate. We did so to give a message that peace is what Pakistan wants but India being India baaz nahien atay phir ajatay hain shararti bacho ki tarhan bell bajanay.
Pakistan Navy Anti-Submarine Warfare Unit on March 1st, 2022, prevented Indian Kalvari-class submarine from entering into Pakistan’s waters.
It is important to note that entering into another’s country-defined sea territory is illegal and there are international laws to stop such intrusion. United Nations Law on Sea convention “doesn’t authorize the carrying out in the exclusive economic zone and in the continental shelf of any coastal State military exercises or manoeuvres by other states, in particular where the use of weapons or explosives are involved, without the consent of the coastal State concerned.”
This is the 4th intrusion in the last 5 years and what amazes us is that with past failed attempts India didn’t get the lesson and attempted for the 4th time. Yes, we totally agree that hard work is the key to success but bhae you don’t have to put in so much efforts to intrude into someone else’s house. Don’t you the tight security we have and if you don’t then call Steve Smith.
However, the violation of the sea laws by India was countered instantly by Pakistan. DG ISPR issued an official statement on the incident “However, yet again through continuous vigilance and professionalism, Pakistan Navy has foiled [the] Indian submarine’s attempt of entering into Pakistani waters.” The Indian submarine was reported to have entered the no man’s land for gathering intelligence and observation. But what matters is that our Navy was standing guard to protect our motherland.
There is still a need for the international community to realize that laws are made so, that everyone knows that in case of infringements there will be consequences.
