The draft for the ninth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to be held on December 14th, right after the conclusion of national T20 Cup.
On Tuesday, a meeting of HBL Pakistan Super League governing committee was held in National Cricket Academy. It was chaired by head of PSL management and chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board Zaka Ashraf.
Along with PCB officials, representatives of all six PSL franchises also attendant the important meeting. The meeting proved to be an important and productive one. In-depth and detailed discussion was carried in the meeting. Operational and logistical aspects for upcoming PSL edition were discussed in detail.
As the government of Pakistan has announced, the general elections will be held in February 2024. The PSL and PCB management decided to take advice from the government and the interior ministry about the dates and the venues for the ninth edition of PSL.
After getting any response from interior ministry, PCB will be decided whether to host PSL in Pakistan or somewhere else. Most probably UAE is the venue that PCB will prefer if the PSL doesn’t get played in Pakistan.
Pakistan Super League is considered to be the second-best franchise cricket in the world after IPL. Top tire players from all around the world have played and appreciated the high-quality cricket of PSL. On 14th of next month, franchise owners, representatives, coaches and mentors of all six franchises will be looking to buy the best players to create a well balanced team for themselves.
