Bakra Eid And Its Festivities

Eid starts with the prayers of Eid. After that children gather together to go see the animal that is to be sacrificed. That animal can be goat, lamb, sheep, camel, buffalo, or cow. The sacrificed animal’s meat is decided into three parts. One for the poor, one for relatives, and one for the family.

Eid ul Azha known as Bakra Eid is the second largest festival of Muslims celebrated on the 10th of Zul Hijjah. Β It is full of festivities. From buying the animal to sacrificing the animal there are a lot of things that make Bakra Eid special. It is an occasion of joy and peace. The main purpose is to sacrifice the animal that you love to show devotion to Allah SWT and commemorate the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail.

A lot of dishes are prepared including Haleem, Namkeen Gosht, BBQ, steaks, raan roast, Seekh Kebab, Chappali kebab, mutton qorma, and mutton karahi, mutton biryani, etc.
