Multan Sultans beat Peshawar Zalmi by four wickets on Friday during the 27th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
Rilee Rossouw of the Multan Sultans was unstoppable with the bat as he helped his team set a new run-chase record in the PSL today. They chased down 243 runs set by Zalmi, just a few days after Quetta Gladiators chased down 241 runs against the same team.

Rossouw was amazing, and he even beat his own record for the fastest hundred in PSL. The left-handed batter got to 100 in just 41 pitches. His previous record was a 100 against the Quetta Gladiators in 2020, which took 43 balls.
The left-handed batter hit 12 fours and 8 sixes for 121 runs, which helped the Sultans beat a huge score with five balls to spare.

Zalmi took two early wickets without regular captain Babar Azam, who didn’t play because he had a fever. But Rossouw and Kieron Pollard scored 99 runs off of only 43 balls to turn the game around for their team.
Pollard hit 52 runs off of 25 balls, including five sixes and three fours, to help the Sultans get closer to their big goal.
In the end, it was Anwar Ali who won the game for the Sultans. Today, Anwar’s bowling spell was tied for the second-most expensive in the PSL. He then helped his team with the bat. He didn’t get out, and his 24 runs off of just eight balls won the game.
For Zalmi, Azmatullah Omarzai took two wickets, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Arshad Iqbal, Wahab Riaz, and Saim Ayub each took one wicket.

Earlier, Babar and Saim, the first two batsmen for Zalmi, set the right tone for their team to make another big score.
Together, Babar and Saim scored 134 runs to help Zalmi reach 242-6 in 20 overs, which is now the second-highest total in this year’s PSL.
The captain got fifty with a better strike rate, while Saim again led from the front. Babar got 73 runs, including two sixes and nine fours, while Saim got 58 runs in 33 balls.
