5 Things To Do If You Are Single On Valentine’s Day

What is Valentine’s Day? The day of love, and who is to say that this day is only supposed to be spent with the other person – the significant other, or partner? Why not spend it with your family, your brother or sister, whom you have not seen in a while? Do this. Go out, and have fun

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and with that everyone around the world is confused at the moment. Why? We’ll tell you but first, you need to know that there are two kinds of people; one, who are committed, and the second, those who are single. Now for the former, they are worried about the celebration preps, and what to gift to their significant others, whereas the latter are worried about being left out. Hence, , we decided to help our brothers and sisters, (those who are single, kyun kay hum bhi usi kashti kay musafir hain), and give them ideas on what to do this valentine’s day.

  1. Have a movie marathon with your friends

Har banday ki zindagi mein aisa zaroor hota hai kay us kay tamam dostoon mein sei aik do tou committed hotay hain but mostly saray single hi hotay hain. Tou it’s pretty simple. Invite your single friends over and binge-watching rom-com movies, eat a lot of unhealthy food and cry. (Just kidding). No, you can watch movies like Two Weeks’ Notice, Notting Hill, or even The Proposal and then cry because you don’t have Ryan Reynolds or Hugh Grant.

  1. Take yourself out on a dinner or breakfast or Lunch

In the hustle-bustle of life, we at times forget about spending time with ourselves. We tend to neglect ourselves, to accommodate and please others, feeding into that frustration that you can’t just break free from. Since Valentine’s Day is a day of love – then show yourself some love. Take yourself out shopping, and buy that thing you want and do not need, and then go to the diner you really like and just enjoy your own company. In the end, agar bohat dil kiya tou kisi kou phone kar key keh daina, I love you. Bohat zaroori nahen hai but agar dil karay tou why now?

  1. Spend time with your family

What is Valentine’s Day? The day of love, and who is to say that this day is only supposed to be spent with the other person – the significant other, or partner? Why not spend it with your family, your brother or sister, whom you have not seen in a while? Do this. Go out, and have fun.

  1. Blind Date with a book on Valentine’s Day

Now if you are feeling down or lonely, go to a bookstore nearby and just sit there. Chances are that you will find others like you, who also do not have anyone. Or go to a park and just sit there silently, manifesting the things you want in this life, and the things you did wrong.

  1. Valentine’s Day on a Monday

This is just for this time around because this Valentine’s Day is on a Monday. So, this year, you don’t really have much of a choice but to go to the office and sit there grumpily because your office is not a nice place, and the people are mean and just do your work. Because really what other choice do you have?

But seriously, Valentine’s Day is a day of love, and one should spend it with the people closest to them, and yes that means, your loved one but also your family, friends, and most importantly yourself. It is the one day when we can love ourselves, and no one will say anything.
