Veteran actor Javed Sheikh is well known for his important contributions to the Pakistani and Indian cinema industry. His performances have garnered him critical praise and multiple honours throughout the course of his career. He is renowned for his ability to portray a variety of personalities, ranging from serious and dramatic roles to humorous and lighthearted ones.
He has dabbled in film production and directing in addition to acting. In Pakistan, he has helmed films including “Yeh Dil Aap Ka Huwa” and “Khulay Aasman Ke Neechay”.
The renowned veteran actor Javed Sheikh recently told a charming account of a very amazing interaction he and his daughter, Momal Sheikh, had with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan during a podcast interview with Hafiz Ahmed.
Sheikh recalled the incident as it related to a cricket tournament in Dubai when some Pakistani friends had taken him to watch some Indian actors play against a squad. Sheikh noticed Salman among the group of people encircling him and extended a hand in greeting. Salman abruptly parted ways with his followers and headed over to Sheikh, where he cordially greeted him and asked how he was doing. Sheikh praised Salman for this tremendous act of kindness and praised his humility and sincerity.
Sheikh continued by relating another instance in which Salman’s generosity was evident. She expressed a desire to see Salman, who was in the city, while Momal and he were in London for an award ceremony. Sheikh originally declined to make the call because he adheres to the philosophy of not imposing himself on people.
But destiny had other plans, and two days later Sheikh ran into Salman at a mall. He was greeted by Salman, who enquired about his health. As soon as Sheikh thought about Momal’s request, he asked Salman if he was available. Salman inquired without hesitation as to the whereabouts of Momal and her companions and ordered that they be summoned to join them. Sheikh was so moved by this spontaneous gesture of kindness that he called Momal right away to share the good news. Delighted, Momal and her friends hurried to the mall, while Salman patiently explored the shops, keeping his promise to make their meeting happen.
