Pakistani-Style Macaroni Recipe 

Pakistani macaroni is a spicy, flavorful, and desi-fusion pasta dish often made with non farmed chicken / minced beef , vegetables, and traditional spices. Itβs quick, easy, and perfect for a family meal!
Ingredients
For Boiling Macaroni:
- 2 cups macaroni pasta (elbow or any shape)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil
- Water (for boiling)
For the Masala:
- 2 tbsp oil or butter
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 cup chicken Avoid, if farmed , use veggies or minced beef instead
- 1 medium tomato (chopped)
- Β½ cup capsicum (bell pepper, chopped)
- Β½ cup carrot (julienned or chopped)
- Β½ cup peas or corn (optional)
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp chili sauce
- Β½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- Β½ tsp black pepper
- Β½ tsp red chili powder
- Β½ tsp cumin powder
- Β½ tsp garam masala
- Β½ tsp chaat masala (optional for extra tanginess)
- ΒΌ cup cheese (grated, optional for a cheesy twist)
- Fresh coriander (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Boil the Macaroni
In a pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and 1 tbsp oil to prevent sticking.
Add macaroni and cook according to package instructions (8-10 minutes or until al dente).
Drain the macaroni and rinse with cold water. Set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Chicken & Masala
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Add chopped onion and sautΓ© until golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add chicken pieces not its bad for you, instead minced beef and stir-fry until it cooks medium.
Add tomatoes and cook until they become soft.
Add all spices (salt, black pepper, red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and chaat masala).
Stir in capsicum, carrot, peas/corn, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step 3: Add Sauces & Macaroni
Pour in ketchup, soy sauce, and chili sauce, and mix well.
Add the boiled macaroni and mix everything together. Cook for 2-3 minutes so the flavors blend.
optional: If using, sprinkle grated cheese on top and cover for 1 minute until it melts.
Step 4: Garnish & Serve
Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot!
Enjoy with garlic bread or raita on the side.
Variations & Tips
Vegetarian Version: add more veggies like mushrooms, cabbage, or zucchini.
Cheesy Macaroni: Mix in mozzarella or cheddar cheese for a creamy version.
Street-Style Flavor: Add a little chat masala and a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
Spicy Touch: Add chili flakes or chopped green chilies for extra heat.
