Syrian hairstylist Dani Hiswani ensured that many people’s dreams of seeing a coiffure that stands more than 9 feet tall came true. Hiswani created a woman’s hairdo in September of this year that measured 2.90 meters (9 feet 6.5 inches), breaking the previous Guinness world record for the highest hairstyle.
A video of the record-breaking performance, in which the woman was wearing a helmet with three little poles standing erect to hold the wigs and the hair extensions, was posted on Instagram by the official Guinness World Record account. Hiswani further emphasised the obvious comparison to a Christmas tree by adding extra ornaments to his work.
For those who are unaware, Hiswani is a well-known Syrian hairstylist who has worked with celebrities from all over the world, including Paris Hilton, Deepika Padukone, Sania Mirza, and Shoaib Malik. Hiswani has been in the hair and cosmetics business for 18 years.
Since being posted, the video has received more than 2.65 lakh views. Many netizens, however, were unimpressed by the feat and said that for such a record, only the natural hair of a person must be used.
