Shahid Afridi Revealed: Why He Didn’t Accept Film Offers

 

 

Shahid Khan Afridi is a global sports icon and an international star. Shahid Afridi started his international career as a cricket player in year 1996. Ever since he played his first match, the all-rounder became an international start with a record-breaking century in his first innings. Afridi has gained immense popularity with his cricket, social work, stances and a good look. Afridi’s look is no less than any actor.

Fans from around the globe have wished to see him acting in films. Though Shahid Afridi has shown his acting skills in various television Commercials. Afridi who was known for his leg spin and hitting big sixes, got various offers to work in films from India and from Pakistan as well.

In a recent podcast the star himself revealed that he got offers from Bollywood and from Pakistani film industry. Boom Boom Afridi said that “I was offered films twice or thrice, I got offers from India, I also got an offer from Pakistan. I think we should do what we know well, one should not do the tasks which are not meant for him/her. I am known because of my cricket; my inclination was towards cricket. I never thought of doing movies. I did a few commercials and did acting in it but I never thought of doing films”.

In the recent past former Pakistani skipper Wasim Akram also played an important character in a Pakistani film. In the past lots of cricketers like Mohsin Hasan Khan, Vinoth Kambli, Brat Lee and many others have done acting in films.
