Wahab Riaz, a fast bowler from Pakistan and a sports advisor to the government of Punjab, said that Sarfaraz Ahmed was the best leader he ever played for.
In an interview with a local TV station, Wahab Riaz was asked to choose between Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi, Misbah-ul-Haq, and Sarfaraz Ahmed as the best Pakistan captain.
The left-handed pacer said that the wicketkeeper hitter was the smartest, while Misbah was the quickest.
“Look, being a captain is different. I played for Shoaib Malik, then Shahid Afridi, Misbah, and Sarfaraz Ahmed when they were captains. “I think Sarfaraz was one of the smartest captains,” said Wahab Riaz.
“I think Misbah-ul-Haq was the captain with the best ideas, and Shoaib bhai and Shahid were people who helped you,” he said.

When asked about how well the current captain of Pakistan, Babar Azam, leads, Wahab Riaz said that he didn’t get to play much during his time in charge.
“I didn’t spend much time with Babar. At the time, he was still learning, but Wahab said, “If I had to rate someone, I would say Sarfaraz was one of the best captains.”
Sarfaraz Ahmed is thought to be one of the best Pakistan captains because he has won two ICC titles (the Champions Trophy and the U19 World Cup) and led his team to 11 straight wins in the T20I series.
This week, former Pakistan pacer and bowling coach Umar Gul said that wicketkeeper hitter Sarfaraz Ahmed would make a better leader than the current captain, Babar Azam.
