Pakistanis and cricket fever is connected through decades. Whether it’s the boomers of the generation Z, love for cricket flows in the blood. This fever especially increases when Pakistan plays the T20I.
A team with players like Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf and several other prominent stars, under the captaincy of Babar Azam, continues to win hearts. Recently, International Cricket Council released new rankings for T20I. Suryakumar Yadav who had bagged for himself the second slot for the best batsmen in the ICC T20I series, seems to have lost his spot.
The all-rounder and Pakistan’s favourite wicket-keeper/ batter, Mohammad Rizwan, has moved up to second spot to replace India batter Suryakumar Yadav in the latest ICC T20I rankings.
Rizwan joined Pakistan’s all-format captain Babar Azam, who sits at the top of the spot. Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai’s innings of 23 (26) and 37 (28) led to a three-spot rise to 14th (611). Teammate Rahmanullah Gurbaz meanwhile moved up five spots to 29th.
Mohammad Rizwan replaced Yadav in the second spot with 796 rating points on the back of his blistering 43-run knock against India on Sunday in the Asia Cup T20I.
Looks like the boys have levelled up the game with their hard-work and skills. With the cricket fever at the rise, Pakistanis are eagerly waiting for the upcoming T20I matches that Pakistan are to play in the Asia Cup.
