Man wearing ‘Free Palestine’ shirt invades Narendra Modi Stadium, briefly interrupts World Cup final

“Stop bombing Palestine” was written on the front of the shirt, and “free Palestine” was written on the back, belonging to the pitch invader. Additionally, he was using a mask with the Palestinian flag printed on it.

On Sunday, an Australian citizen and a pro-Palestinian invaded the pitch to embrace cricketing star and legend Virat Kohli. Due to this act, the match proceedings stopped for a brief moment in Narinder Modi Stadium Ahmedabad.

On October 7th, tension raised between Hamas and Israeli forces. When the bombing between these two forces. Since then people from all around the world are reacting on this brutal incident. Most of the world are rising their voices in favor of Palestine. But the Indians are supporting Israel on the political level.

Invading match by an Australian citizen in India was an eye raising incident for people watching the match live and millions watching on TV screens.

The invader was dragged out of the ground by the security. Later the Pro- Palestinian invader was detained by Ahmedabad police. According to the sources the Australian citizen was questioned by the police.

The mega final was later won by Australia against India, silencing a crowd of 130,000. Australian skipper Pat Cummins received the World Cup trophy from Indian Prime Minister Narinder Modi.
