Politicians like President Dr. Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Imran Khan, and others have sent their condolences in response to the passing of senior actor Qavi Khan from Pakistan, who was 80 years old.
Khan passed away after a protracted illness while receiving treatment in Canada. Condolences began to arrive quickly after the news was announced.
President Arif Alvi expressed his condolences and described the death of the renowned actor as an irreparable loss for the arts.

Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, too expressed sorrow at Qavi Khan’s passing. He sent his sympathies to the family and said a prayer for the soul of the deceased.
Marriyum Aurangzeb, the information minister, also conveyed her deep sorrow and grief at the passing of famous actor Qavi Khan.
Imran Khan sent his condolences following his passing. I was shocked to read about the death of renowned actor Qavi Khan. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, the PTI leader stated.

Singer and actor Ali Zafar took to Twitter to pay tribute to the late actor. The Dear Zindagi star remembered Qavi as an institution in himself who deserves a state funeral. May he rest in peace, wrote the singer.

With a career spanning more than four decades, Qavi Khan was one of the most admired and revered actors in the nation. Khan has received the Sitara-i-Imtiaz, Nigar Awards, and a Pride of Performance for his outstanding work in the field.
Qavi Khan, a Peshawar native who began acting in the 1960s, appeared in a wide range of well-known TV dramas, including “Dhoop Kinare,” “Ankahi,” “Tanhaiyan,” and “Humsafar,” among many others. Additionally well-known in Pakistani theatre, he appeared in more than 200 movies.
