Where the petrol prices keep on increasing day after the other, the people of Pakistan have found alternatives to keep them busy.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced an increase in petrol and diesel prices by Rs35 per litre effective as of 11 am on Sunday.

Frustrated and helpless individuals flocked to Twitter to express their fears and how the unexpected price increase will devastate the masses. Here’s how Pakistanis dealt with the fairly distressing news, via humour, serious tweets, and suggestions for automobile replacements.

The people thereby have gathered the alternative which is riding a bicycle instead of motorbikes, working from home rather than going to the offices, and not missing those long walks rather than long drives.

The people are angry and frustrated at the same time, but there is nothing they can do to change the situation.

This petrol hike has motivated people to use cycles and the memes are not coming slow.

Some people have put serious messages for the government.

Nobody can actually understand the situation for middle-class people who are affected by this petrol price.

Some people have even started to demand that this petrol hike must be balanced by an increase in their pay. Because of the reason that whenever the petrol prices are increased, the price of everything starts increasing.

Neemos wish all of you the best of luck in this situation and in paddling your bicycles.
