Sotheby’s Luxury Week takes off in Geneva

Attend the luxury week now taking place in Geneva to get an up-close look at the cutting edge of luxury.

The return of Geneva’s Luxury Week to the Swiss city started on the 12th of May with a series of live sales showcasing dazzling diamonds, watches, handbags, and a great deal more. We have for you the list of the best articles sold in this luxury week in Geneva.

The auction of ‘Magnificent and Noble Jewellery’, ‘Important Watches Parts I and II’, ‘Handbags’ and ‘Accessories’, and a collection of ‘Rare pocket Watches’, which was assembled over the course of 45 years and includes a diverse assortment of pieces spanning from the 16th to the 20th centuries, will be among the most important events of the weekend.

In the episode of This Month at Sotheby’s that airs in May, be on the lookout for spectacular goods such as the approximately 22-carat Fancy Intense Pink Diamond and a truly magnificent 52-and-a-half-carat ring designed by Harry Winston. Other notable designers whose work will be featured in the show are Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Bulgari, and many more.

  1. Van Cleef & Arpels

This watch named Van Cleef and Arpels got the best sale in Sotheby’s auction 2023 and had embedded within it the Lady’s sapphire, ruby, and diamond naming it wristwatch, ‘Bagatelle’.
The bombé strap of gold beads, enhanced by circular-cut sapphire, ruby, and brilliant-cut diamond flowers, the inner circumference of approximately 160mm, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, French assay marks for gold.

  1. David Webb

David Webb is an antique-styled bangle with diamonds and emeralds over it. The details are as follows.

It has Enamel, emerald, and diamond bangle embedded within it.

Designed as two opposing tigers, decorated with black enamel stripes, the eyes set with cabochon emeralds, the head, and collar enhanced with brilliant-cut diamonds, inner circumference approximately 140mm, signed David Webb.

  1. Van Cleef & Arpels

Presenting you with yet another special necklace with the details as follows.

The Gold, sapphire, and ruby necklace, Van Cleef & Arpels, circa 1945 is another spectacular necklace being sold by Sotheby’s.

Of flexible gas-pipe linking, the front is composed of a polished gold segment star-set with circular-cut sapphires and rubies, length approximately 390mm, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered.
