The film industry, though, has gone through a rough patch and we had to rely on foreign content to satisfy our thirst for good content. Lately, the efforts to revive the cinema have born fruits. We see movies with diversified subjects with young actors, directors, and producers, who have put sweat and blood to show the best on the screens that were once abandoned. Abu Aleeha’s movie Javed Iqbal is one such movie on a subject that is usually avoided. It’s expected to release this year after so many delays. We hope this movie is going to set the standard higher and encourage people to write and think out of the box.

Storyline
The movie is based on a real-life serial killer Javed Iqbal who had killed 100 children between 1998 to 1999. It is a difficult topic to see and digest, but the beauty is how these stories are told subtly.
Javed Iqbal belonged to Punjab, where he had killed 100 children. Later, he confessed to committing the crime and handed himself over to the police, where he committed suicide before he hanged himself.
