The government says that Canada’s population grew by more than a million people for the first time ever last year. Statistics regarding Immigration in Canada said that the number of people living in the country went up from 38,516,138 to 39,566,248.

The situation of Pakistan is in front of us. Too much inflation has forced individuals to leave Pakistan. And Canada has given immigration offers to Pakistani students who are sure that their future is secured in Canada.

Government initiatives to bring in foreign workers to address labor shortages were a contributing factor, according to Statistics Canada.
An aging population is dependent on immigration as well.
Nevertheless, Statistics Canada warned that “new issues for some parts of the nation relating to housing, infrastructure and transportation, and service delivery to the people” might arise as a result of the dramatic increase in the number of permanent and temporary immigrants.

The increase in population, as reported by the press release, was caused almost entirely by people moving abroad.

Since taking office in 2015, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has made an attempt to increase immigration to Canada. The administration promised last year that by 2025, it will accept 500,000 immigrants annually.

He also noted that the country’s openness to immigration stemmed from its strict border control, its capacity to cherry-pick the “best and brightest” migrants from throughout the world, and the lack of significant physical barriers in and around its main cities.

Another reason is that the post-war baby boom and the influx of refugees after the Hungarian Revolution in 1957 accounted for Canada’s previous largest population growth.
