The ninth ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will take place in June. The United States and the West Indies have been chosen to co-host it from June 1 to June 29, 2024. Matches from the initial ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 event will take place in the US. After defeating Pakistan in the previous edition’s championship match, England is the reigning champion.

Twenty teams will compete in the tournament, up from the 16 teams who participated in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 competition. The top eight teams from the previous competition, as well as the next two teams in the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings, automatically qualified in addition to the two hosts. A regional qualification process was used to determine the final eight teams. Canada, Uganda, and the United States have all qualified for the T20 World Cup for the first time.

Format:
Four groups of five teams will be formed from the 20 qualifying teams, and the top two teams from each group will move on to the Super 8 round. The qualifying teams will be divided into two groups of four at this point, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage, which consists of two semifinals and a championship match.
