Matches from the initial ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 event will take place in the US. After defeating Pakistan in the previous edition’s championship match, England is the reigning champion.

A regional qualification process was used to determine the final eight teams. Canada, Uganda, and the United States have all qualified for the T20 World Cup for the first time.

Format:
Four groups of five teams will be formed from the 20 qualifying teams, and the top two teams from each group will move on to the Super 8 round.
