Honda Unveils First e- Bike in Japan Mobility Show

 

Honda, a prominent and famous name in automotive and motorcycle industry is making an entry into the bicycle industry with its debutant offering Honda e- MTB Concept. This innovative electric motorcycle took stage in Japan, Tokyo at Japan Mobility Show. Other innovations were also at the show by leading Japanese motorcycle and automotive manufacturers.

What makes Honda e- MTB Concept unique from other e- bikes is its practicality. It showcases a design which is ready for production. Implying a positive trend in the world of e-bike concepts and raising hopes of real-world availability.

One notable aspect of the Honda e-MTB Concept is its use of an existing Brose mid-drive motor. This decision showcases Honda’s focus on refining the bike’s overall look and structural design while entrusting the production of bike components to experienced companies, thereby avoiding the need for reinventing the wheel.

This full-suspension e-bike is packed with high-end components, featuring a SRAM Eagle AXS drivetrain, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, Fox suspension in the front and rear, a RockShox Reverb dropper seat post, DT Swiss XM 1700 wheels, and Maxxis Minion DHF tires. These top-tier parts underscore Honda’s commitments to delivering a high-performance e-bike.
