Just a few hours before the much-anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6, the first trailer for the game was shared on X, . The account has since been suspended.
When Rockstar Games found out about the leak, they quickly put the whole trailer on their official YouTube feed. They also shared the trailer to let fans know about the online leak.

The Verge reported that the trailer reveals many things about GTA 6 that have been slowly coming out over the last two years. These include the setting in Vice City and the game’s first female protagonist with story elements inspired by Bonnie and Clyde.
There was another rumor about the game that GTA 6 would come out in 2025, and the trailer confirmed it. In a press release issued later on Monday, Rockstar stated that the game will be available for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S that year.
The Verge says that after 10 years of work, GTA 6’s first trailer might have been nothing more than the Roman number for six. It would have probably caused debate and rumors for years to come.
Thankfully, the video shows a lot more. It shows fast cars, reckless gunplay, stolen money, and American-style hedonism in Vice City, which is a made-up version of Miami.
It’s mostly about one main character, Lucia, who is seen wearing a prison outfit and is expected to break the law with her boyfriend once she gets out of jail.
Rockstar Games’ press statement also has a short summary of the game.
According to the press release, Grand Theft Auto VI will take place in the state of Leonida, which is home to the neon-lit streets of Vice City and other places. It will be the biggest and most realistic game in the series’ history.
Information about the release of GTA 6 has been leaked. Last year, 90 videos from the creation process were leaked by a teenager in the UK.
This week, there was also a TikTok video that said it was stolen footage from the kid of a Rockstar employee. It showed wide shots of the game’s setting on a computer monitor.
