When you are traveling abroad at short notice and realize that it will take some time to get your Passport, it can sometimes be a nightmare. Pakistan’s Passport is undergoing significant upgrades. “Now get your Passport within 24 hours. Avail DGIP Fast Track Service,” the minister revealed in a tweet. These words may lessen your pain.
The government of Pakistan has introduced a new service titled ‘Fast Track Service.’ It is an online facility that will enable people to get their passports at their doorsteps. People don’t have to travel or wait in queues wasting their precious time. They will be issued to Pakistani citizens at home and abroad. They aim at delivering the passports to applicants at the doorstep within 24 hours. It is hoped that biometric documents will simplify the process and offer a way to automate services. Isn’t that amazing?
The directorate is providing online passport facilities to over 190 countries. It is Asia’s first-ever e-services, expected to operate from early 2022. It is fascinating to know that more than a thousand applications were received in the last two days of the trial period, as revealed by DG Immigration and Passports Dr. Naeem Rauf.
All in all, this sounds like an excellent initiative by Pakistan’s government because it will undoubtedly make traveling very easy. We must appreciate where it is needed, and we thank the government for taking this initiative.
So many people all over Pakistan find it the most significant hurdle when traveling. The hassle of waiting for days on end for one’s passport is perhaps the most challenging thing for a person. But thankfully, that is now coming to an end.
We are looking forward to more such services, making our work easy in this technologically advanced age. This will help the overseas and citizens from inside Pakistan to avail themselves better services.
