Goodbyes are always hard to accept. And to bid farewell to a person who had a great impact on our lives is even harder. Personalities cast their spell and are remembered for their personas. One such person is DC Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat, the daring man who has transformed Islamabad into a better one. Every individual who has ever met him has the best memories of him. Recently, he was removed as DC Islamabad and this is not what we had expected. The public poured their love and bid him a farewell in a manner that very few people have the honor of having. We at Neemopani have very fond memories of meeting him. Farewell DC Sahab, You will be missed. Thank you for your services.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Hamza Shafqaat a Grade-19 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), had his transfers order issued on Saturday. He joined Islamabad Capital Administration as Deputy Commissioner on July 19, 2018, and has been in a key position for the last four years.
He has excellently managed Islamabad through tough times. He has always been there for people, and ready to serve them has earned him respect. The high bar that he has set would be difficult to pass. He has changed the city administration which was always thought to be lazy and slow in response. His communication with the people made him stand out.

To say that he is the pioneer of social media for effective administration, won’t be wrong. This led to the engagement with citizens, sharing important information, and solving issues quickly and in an effective manner, which was never seen or thought of earlier. For this, he has been dubbed as the Superhero and Iron Man of Islamabad, who had worked day and night during the pandemic. Islamabad had the lowest COVID positive city because of his constant efforts.
Citizens have expressed their love on Twitter. They wished him success and good luck, yet some were dejected to see their beloved DC leaving the post.
