Fans crack up as Penn Badgley wishes Ramazan

Regarding the faith he mentioned in his reply, there was a lot of confusion as well. Bahá’u’lláh, a Persian nobleman, established the Bahá’ Faith in the 19th century.

Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley in the famous series YOU, recently engaged in the most endearing Twitter conversation with a user who believed him to have converted to Islam because of a picture shoot for GQ and Maison Valentino.

The Gossip Girl actress may have “converted to Islam,” according to a user of the microblogging platform who tweeted a screenshot of a shoot and concluded with a Ramadan greeting for Badgley.

The American actor not only noticed the tweet, but also responded to it, calling it one of his favourite takes. “You’re not too far off, I just finished fasting as a Bahá’í for our month of ‘Alá. Happy Fasting this Ramadan fam,” commented Badgley.

While that was a wholesome exchange, and not something many would expect from the You star, others joined in on the fun, and what ensued is hilarious, to say the least.

Some users decided to do some editing to make Badgley fit the role.

Regarding the faith he mentioned in his reply, there was a lot of confusion as well. Bahá’u’lláh, a Persian nobleman, established the Bahá’ Faith in the 19th century. It is a monotheistic faith that places a strong emphasis on the equality of all people, regardless of race, gender, or social standing, and the spiritual unity of all humanity.
