The situation between India and Pakistan has always been quite chaotic. The people are unaware of what is happening and also fear for their safety. Everyone around the world knows what is happening in Kashmir, and yet still no one wants to do anything for them. However, thanks to our very brave army and the clean conscience of our leaders, the fighting on the LOC has been stopped for the safety of the innocent people of Kashmir. Catering to this the DG ISPR cleared the air regarding the ceasefire on the LOC.
It happens on both sides of the border that we hear every day in the news about one or another soldier being martyred. With that, we also hear about the constant ceasefires but the general public does not know what is happening.
In politics, it happens a lot that governments spread misleading information. There are several reasons for that, one to keep one’s own country unaware of what is happening, and two to give out a positive image of our own country in front of the world.
This also happened concerning LOC when India started to spread such news about why the Pakistani government and military decided to announce a ceasefire. However, in reality, Pakistan decided to have a ceasefire only for the sake of the people of Kashmir who are being brutally treated by the Indian government and army.
Through no fault of their own, the Kashmiris find themselves in the middle of it all, and Pakistan has great concern for their wellbeing, and how they are treated.
On Thursday, a statement was issued by an Army official in India that the ceasefire was merely because they are in a strong position. This was to boost their egos and come out to the world as one of the strongest armies.
Major General Babar Iftikhar, the DG ISPR has rejected the claims that the ceasefire on the LOC was holding because they were negotiated from a position of strength and also said that this is misleading news.
Fortunately, we all know that this is not true. In a response to this, DG ISPR cleared up this matter, announcing to the world that the ceasefire was because he was concerned about making the innocent Kashmir’s a victim in the politics between the two nations.
This effort and concern from the side of the Pakistani army have to be appreciated and applauded because we all know about what is happening in Kashmir. The irony remains that today is Kashmir Day and so we must all come forward and pray for the safety of those innocent souls and hope that they get their rightful freedom.
