Here are a few updates from Cricket across the world:

Australia leading by 3-0 in Ashes

Ashes are the most sought-after event after the Pak India series. Australia is currently leading the series by 3-0 in a five-match series. Today, they won by an inning and 14 runs. Scot Boland, their debutant pacer crushed the Englishmen by taking six wickets in just 4 overs. In the first test match, Australia won by 6 wickets, whereas in the second match they won by 275 runs. There are hopes of a clean sweep by Australia after the 2013/14 session. They will be lucky to grab the ashes after winning the golden globe in the T20 world cup this year.

ICC Test Player Nominees revealed

Nominees for ICC Men’s Test player have been revealed where ICC recognizes outstanding achievements of the players in the past year. The nominees include Joe Root for his 1708 runs in 15 matches with six centuries. He is the third person after Sir Vivian Richards and Muhammad Yousuf to score 1700 runs in a calendar year. R Ashwin from India is another nominee with 52 wickets taken in 8 matches with an average of 16.23. He has scored 337 run with an average of 28.08 with one century. Kyle Jamieson from New Zealand is nominated for 27 wickets in 5 matches with an average of 17.51. he has scored 105 runs at an average of  17.50. Sri Lankan Batter Dimuth Karunaratne is lucky to be a nominee. He scored 902 runs in 7 matches with an average of 69.38 with 4 centuries.

BPL and PSL schedule announced

The six-team BPL has announced its schedule. It will start on 21st January 2022 with the final on 28th February. The matches will be played in Dhaka, Chittagong, and Sylhet. Meanwhile schedule for PSL has also been announced its. Season 7 will start on 27th January 2022 in Karachi, where the matches will be played till 7th February. Gaddafi Stadium Lahore will host the matches from 10th February till 27th February 2022. The final will be hosted by Gaddafi Stadium for the first time since PSL’s launch.

Abid Ali and Shahnawaz Dhani on their way to recovery

Abid Ali is on his way to recovery after he was diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome during Quaid e Azam Trophy. Since his debut in 2007, he has scored 6000 runs in domestic cricket and was currently a 1st choice opener for Pakistan in test matches. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him again on the ground.

Shahnawaz after facing difficulty in breathing due to a deviated Nasal Septum after consultation with PCB and his family, he underwent surgery for the Nasal Septum. We wish him a speedy recovery.

U19 team reaches Semi-Finals

The exciting news of the news is here!!! After beating India by 2 wickets, our young U19 team has defeated UAE by 21 runs to reach the semi-final. We are very proud of them. We at Neemopani wish them the best of luck for the semi-finals.
