Pakistani singer Asad Abbas, who had been sick for a long time and needed money for his care because of a serious kidney problem, died on Tuesday.
The singer was getting dialysis four times a week and had asked the media, lawmakers, and everyone else to help pay for his care, saying that he needed Rs50 million for a kidney donation.
“May the All-Powerful Allah make his grave bigger and give Asad Abbas peace forever. “He fought until the end,” Abbas’ Facebook page said.
Artists and singers, like actor Adnan Siddiqui, asked everyone to help the sick Coke Studio star get a kidney donation.
“Asad Abbas’s beautiful voice has made our lives better, and his emotional performances and musical genius have won our hearts. Behind the scenes of his great ability, he is unfortunately fighting a personal battle that has put him in a very bad financial situation.
“He is currently dealing with a serious kidney problem that has not only hurt his health but also put him in a lot of financial trouble,” the star wrote in an Instagram post.
Siddiqui wrote to the people, asking them to help the singer as much as they can. He said, “In times like these, we as a community need to come together and help someone whose music has brought us so much joy.” As artists ourselves, it is our job to stand by our fellow artists and help them when they need it.
“I’m asking each of you to do whatever you can to help Asad Abbas through this hard time. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will make a big difference in his ability to pay his bills, focus on getting better, and get back to doing what he loves most: making beautiful music.

Abbas had turned to the people and asked them to help him with the donation.
“Four times a week, I go to dialysis, and my health is very bad. I ask my media business, lawmakers, and anyone else watching to remember that I have served my country, won Sangeet Icon, won a Lux Style Award, appeared on Coke Studio, and won a Pride of Pakistan award. For the transplant, I need Rs50 million.”
In season 6 of Coke Studio, the singer sang Mahi Gal with Fariha Parvez.
