In response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the People’s Republic of China has stepped up its efforts to provide emergency assistance. With the region facing acute shortages of food, medical supplies, and shelter due to prolonged conflict, China has positioned itself as a key international actor offering tangible aid to Palestinian civilians.
How China Is Delivering Aid
China’s aid has primarily been delivered via air-drops and international humanitarian convoys coordinated with regional partners and international organizations, including the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). In several recent instances, Chinese military and civilian aircraft have dropped parachuted packages of essentials—food, water purification kits, tents, blankets, and medicine—over designated zones in Gaza.
