After deciding to make an unexpected appearance in the middle of the Taraweeh prayers, a calico cat captured the attention of a number of internet users.
The feline reportedly leaped on Imam Walid Mehsas when he was praying Taraweeh in Bordj Bou Arreridj, Algeria, and climbed up onto his shoulders. The incident was reported by the BBC.
The video quickly gained traction on social media, with many commenting that the moment was “warming,” “sweet,” and other similar words.

The little calico cat with orange, black, and white hair first attempted to grab the attention of the imam by pawing at his leg, but the imam paid it no notice and ignored the cat’s attempts.
After then, the cat kissed the face of the imam before hopping off of him. It had previously stroked the imam’s cheek with its tail.
