Burj Khalifa set to lose status of world’s tallest building to new tower

The Jeddah Tower, also called the Kingdom Tower, is being built in Saudi Arabia and will soon be taller than the Burj Khalifa. It will be over 1,000 meters tall, making it the largest building in the world.

The Burj Khalifa in Dubai reached heights that had never been seen before. At 828 meters, it set new records as the world’s largest building.

According to Guinness World Records, the Jeddah Tower, which is expected to be taller than 1,000 meters (3,281 feet), could change the city’s skyline when it’s finished.

The Jeddah Economic Company is building this huge building, which is meant to be a complex with many different parts, such as high-end flats, homes, offices, and serviced apartments.

It will be home to the “world’s highest observatory,” which is just one of its many innovative features.

The University of Tokyo Atacama Observatory currently holds a different record for highest building. However, the Jeddah Tower’s ambitious design and expected $1.23 billion cost make it a strong contender to dethrone the Burj Khalifa.

This building masterpiece is in north Jeddah as part of a huge $20 billion megaproject. Work on it started up again in 2023 after a five-year break.

The fact that no one knows when it will be finished only adds to the excitement, since its size and services are expected to be much bigger than the Burj Khalifa’s.

The world of architecture can’t wait for this new symbol of human progress to be unveiled. It will go even further into the past of architecture.
