Pakistani pop singer Ali Zafar releases new Cricket World Cup anthem during the run of the mega event. This time the singer has collaborated with Hashim Nawaz. On a hip-hop node, Nawaz has put in his own rap to uplift the track on a different level. The hip-hop style of singing has been a sport-centric style in Pakistan for the last few years.
Like all Ali Zafar songs, this World Cup anthem is lyrically appealing. The hook line which is also the title of the anthem “Maza Aaya” is repeatedly chanted throughout the song. The lyrics and singing of Ali Zafar are highly resembling a sense of celebration as it was in his previous anthems of PSL. The intro part, bridge, M1, and M2 parts of the song are highly upbeat, and Nawaz’s rap in the middle part of the song multiplies the energy of the song.
The music video of the anthem truly goes with the lyrics, giving a celebration chant throughout as the audience could predict.
Ali Zafar on Instagram expressed his joy and excitement at the release of the new song, Zafar said he wished he had more time to work on the song, for the love of cricket and cricket fans he released this song while the tournament was halfway through.
Ali Zafar announced earlier in this month that he will make a cricket anthem for the 2023 Cricket World Cup. This announcement came right after the release of the official anthem made by India. The official anthem didn’t make a great impact and didn’t get positive feedback from the audience.
Ali Zafar compared sports and life in his social media post after the anthem’s release. He said like sports life has also ups and downs. People must stay positive and spread the message of love, unity, and harmony.
