On the third day of the four-day practice match between the Pakistani team and Prime Minister XI, Abrar Ahmed, the young leg spinner of the Pakistani team, experienced discomfort in his right leg after bowling eight overs. The 25-year-old spinner was immediately taken off the ground to seek medical attention.
After conducting an initial examination of the injury, the PCB medical team advised Abrar Ahmed to undergo an MRI scan to determine the extent of his injury. The MRI reports are currently being assessed by the medical team, and the PCB will later announce his condition.
It is worth noting that the ongoing four-day test match holds crucial importance for the Pakistani team as they prepare for their upcoming three-test match series against Australia, which is scheduled to start on December 14th and will continue until January 7th, 2024. The PCB is closely monitoring Abrar Ahmed’s condition and will take appropriate measures to ensure his speedy recovery.
