In Dunedin on Tuesday, the Pakistan women’s cricket team made history by beating the New Zealand women’s team and winning their first-ever series against the Kiwi’s.
Before the beginning of December 2023, New Zealand women had an 8-0 record in T20Is against Pakistan women.
But two games in a row changed everything for the Pakistani girls.

New Zealand was once 89/6 in response, thanks to precise bowling by Pakistan. But Georgia Pimmer and Hamma Rowe fought back and tried to get the home team back into the game.
But they were still 10 runs short because Fatima Sana held on to 17 runs off the last over.
Fatima Sana knocked three players out, and Sadia Iqbal sent two back to the stand.
