Ramadan is the most spiritual month of the year. We fast, and indulge in prayers and religious rituals to commemorate this month. Despite all the good things that the month of Ramadan brings, there are also a few challenging aspects. Chief among them is the sleep deprivation which we face due to change in sleeping schedule.

Sleep-Deprived in Ramazan

Ramadan is the most spiritual month of the year. We fast, and indulge in prayers and religious rituals to commemorate this month. Despite all the good things that the month of Ramadan brings, there are also a few challenging aspects. Chief among them is the sleep deprivation which we face due to change in sleeping schedule. Waking up during sehri is not something we are accustomed to. Therefore, it is quite possible for us to face sleep deprivation. However, you need not always face the day with half-closed eyes and wanting to rest your head somewhere. Through proper planning, you can easily turn the tide and get extra hours of sleeping.

Given below are the ways through which you can sleep well in Ramadan while at the same time, you can also stay active and fresh throughout the day.

 

  1. Sleeping in Intervals

You cannot get proper eight hours of sleep at once. What you need to do is to be able to sleep three to four hours after iftar. Then, you can sleep after suhoor to make up for the lack of sleep. Through proper management, you will find yourself rejuvenated. All it requires is a bit of planning.

 

  1. Proper Hydration

One of the best ways to combat low energy is proper hydration. While drinking regular intervals of water is not directly related to sleep, it does elevate your energy levels. If you are not tired or fatigued, you will find it very easy to stay active and not be deprived from proper sleep.

 

  1. Eating Healthy Foods

You must ensure that the foods that you are eating are not always greasy or oily foods. Bing eating unhealthy snacks will do a number on your sleep quality. Maintaining a proper healthy diet in Ramadan will affect your sleep quality in a positive manner.

Exercise has a beneficial effect on your sleep. You will find yourself sleeping well after you have exercised. Giving your body enough activity is going to do wonders for your sleep schedule. Exercising improves your blood flow circulation and it also benefits your sleep functions.

 

  1. Avoid Too Much Caffeine

You will want to lessen your sugar intake along with cutting on coffee and tea. Too much caffeine will end up ruining your sleep schedule. In Ramadan, you want anything but that.
