Every person has a right to have access to the facilities of life. It is usually okay for normal people, but specially-abled people face difficulty in accessing the normal things in life. All they need is a little facilitation and they are independent. It is better to come up with practical solutions rather than just sympathizing which will help them progress in Life. A Pakistani student Mohammad Hamza Khan has made a device, ‘In Vision Eye Device’ to facilitate blind people.
Vision is a blessing. It helps to see the beautiful colors and shapes that exist in nature. If your vision is gone, then a portion of your senses is lost. But people who may have lost one of their senses, other senses are far more enhanced.
Pakistani students have played their role to equip special people. As this will help such people feel like being part of the community. They are as important as other members of society.
Last year, Muhammad Ahmed developed a smart cap as a part of his final year project. The cap has two sensors which are 2.5 m long and warn the person of the vibrations. The vibrations help with barriers, obstacles, and directions. He had requested the government’s help so that it can be provided free of cost to blind people.
Hafsa Jamal from Peshawar had developed ‘Sonic eye’ for blind, partially blind, color-blind, or people with complex eye diseases. It is a white stick that is attached to a navigation system. The sensors alert the person of the hurdles nearby.
In recent developments, Mohammad Hamza Khan has developed the ‘In Vision Eye Device’. It will help blind people to recognize anything. Usually, blind people need someone to assist them, but this device will make them independent. The device is to be hung around the neck. The sensors will tell about the surroundings.
Usually, such devices are heavy when worn, but this isn’t. You can carry it anywhere easily. It has a battery backup of 8-10 hours. According to him, it took 6-7 months to develop it costing him Rs. 55,000. He said, “I think if it is brought to the market, it will cost around Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000.” He said that it took 6 to 7 months to make it and the cost of making it is around Rs.55,000. “I think if it is brought to the market, it will cost around Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000.”
Such devices will help special people to be independent. They don’t have to sit and wait for assistance.
