Considering the efforts Pakistan is making to ensure a 5G network by 2023, many potential investors have shown great interest in this matter. Huawei’s desire to invest in Pakistan’s network came from Huawei Cloud Middle East and Africa 2022 roundtable in Dubai. There, the Vice President for Global Communications, Karl Song expressed support for Pakistan along with all the other countries that are developing the 5G network. Huawei will send a skilled Chinese workforce that will help Pakistan and other countries achieve their aim of a 5G rollout.
An investment of this level can mean incredible economic growth in Pakistan. 5G network will not just contribute to the mobile networks, it will also help in revolutionizing different industrial sectors. China is developing plans to employ 5G in the B2B domain. Pakistan will also become a successful part of that plan. With ongoing foreign investments, this comes as a big step in a much-needed technological direction.
Apart from increased bandwidth and an up-scaled communication system, Pakistan will also develop the sectors of traffic control, health, manufacturing, agriculture, energy, transportation, education, and tourism. Another prime benefit of the 5G network in Pakistan is the development of the AI sector.
