First Look of Pakistan's T20 World Cup 2024 kit

On  Monday in Lahore, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled the national team’s stylish new kit for the T20 World Cup 2024, dubbed the “Matrix Jersey.” In a lively reveal video posted on X, Pakistan’s white-ball captain Babar Azam, alongside cricket stars like Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan, showed off the sharp new gear. Pakistan, grouped with cricketing giants like India, as well as Ireland, Canada, and co-hosts United States in Group A, is all set for an exhilarating series of matches. Before hitting the World Cup stage, the team will jet off to Ireland for a trio of T20Is, followed by four matches in England. Post England, it’s straight to the USA for the main event.

The squad will initially feature 18 players for the Ireland and England series but will be narrowed down to 15 after the first T20I against England on May 22. Teams have until May 25 to finalize their squads, with later changes needing a nod from the event’s technical committee.

As excitement builds, the T20 World Cup promises intense action, with 20 teams split into four groups. The top two from each will progress to the Super 8, leading to nail-biting semifinals and the ultimate showdown on June 29.

Here’s the lowdown on Pakistan’s electrifying T20 World Cup schedule:

  • June 6: Clash with USA in Dallas
  • June 9: High-octane face-off with India in New York
  • June 11: Showdown with Canada, also in New York
