Overseas Pakistanis are an asset to the country. They are quite helpful in contributing to the economy. Prime Minister Imran Khan has been hard at work in trying to leverage relations with overseas Pakistanis. The government was hard at work in introducing projects like Roshan Digital Account and Roshan Apna Ghar. Projects like these have the potential to lessen the gap between Pakistani exports and imports. The government has also tried to bring talented Pakistanis into the country. However, because of a lack of resources and proper environment, such a thing was not possible. However, only recently the government has taken another initiative that will allow them to finally become a coherent force.

Connect Pakistan Portal, to facilitate the overseas Pakistanis, is soon set to be launched. An international conference will be held in America. This conference aims to increase Pakistani exports along with promoting the rich and diverse culture of the country.
Sam Ibrar Khan, who is also the Central General Secretary of Tehreek-i-Insaf US Chapter, revealed the plan of that conference, which was to launch ‘Connect Pakistan Portal’ at ‘Meet the Press’ Programme of National Press Club. The platform’s original purpose is the facilitation of overseas Pakistanis by providing them with a means of resolving their issues.
Following the Connect Pakistan Conference, the Pak America Council will also be launching a portal to make it an international body. This platform would serve as a connecting point for all the overseas Pakistanis. This portal can also be used to launch welfare programs for Pakistanis living abroad.
The ‘Connect Pakistan Portal’ will be launching in August-September this year. Along with the release of this portal, the government will also provide educational and technical training to Pakistani youth to fully leverage this platform. Launching such a platform is of monumental importance for Pakistan since overseas Pakistanis are massive contributors to the economy of Pakistan.
