The Capital Development Authority (CDA) intends to launch two new bus services in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

These services will be designated as the Purple Line and the Silver Line. The new bus service will come with a variety of benefits that are suited specifically to the needs of students and senior citizens. This service will help people to solve their convenience issues as per seeing the hike in petrol prices. It would perhaps not fully but partially take away the stress of rising petrol prices.

The press has been informed by the office of the CDA Chairman that the bus service for the Purple Line will operate on IJP Road, while the bus service for the Silver Line will operate from Taramri. The Blue Line bus service will be extended to Rawat to provide an even higher level of convenience for commuters.

Students and people above the age of 60 will only pay half the fare, while children under the age of 10 will not be charged. They would be able to travel free on both of these buses.

People living on IJP road and nearby sectors such as I9, and I10 sectors would benefit from the purple line bus. The officials have said that the launch of two new bus services is part of the efforts being made to provide a modern transport system to the people at highly affordable prices. These services will cover those areas where the Metro Bus service is currently not operating.

In the original proposal, 300 brand-new buses were to be purchased to facilitate these expanded offerings. The government organization will probably order new buses from China again.
