Following his collaboration with Pakistani band Aur on an Urdu song, British musician Zayn Malik was extended an invitation to travel Pakistan on Monday by UK High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott.
Zayn Malik, it’s time to organise your trip to Pakistan! Admiring this UK-Pakistan partnership with Aur,”
Zayn Malik, a British celebrity who is well-known for his beautiful English vocals, put his singing skills to the test by belting out a love ballad in Urdu.
Working together, Zayn and the Pakistani band “Aur” created a remix of their well-known song “Tu Hai Kahan,” which has received over 95 million views on YouTube.
But since the song has gotten over 3.5 million views on the video-sharing website, fans have also given the remix a lot of appreciation.
The 31-year-old, a former member of the well-known boy band One Direction, shared his thoughts about his experience singing Urdu lyrics with the BBC in an interview. He said he loved the song and hoped that fans will love the collaboration since he gave the performance a personal touch.

Bandmate Raffey Anwar told the BBC, “We had only Pakistani fans before, but now we have people from the UK, Brazil, and China… so it feels very good.”
Zayn’s vocals in Urdu have been heard before. The British singer, who gained popularity through One Direction after competing on the British TV music competition “The X Factor” in 2010, has previously included Urdu lyrics in his track “Tightrope” from his 2021 album “Nobody is Listening.”
The British singer, who was born and reared in Bradford, has Pakistani ancestry because his father came to the UK from the South Asian country, therefore the partnership cannot be described as surprising.
