Let’s Celebrate International Day of Families with Our Loved ones

People you love can’t be put into words. As long as your family is yours, it doesn’t matter how it looks.

The United Nations declared May 15 to be the International Day of Families in 1993 to bring attention to the challenges encountered by families everywhere and to celebrate the positive impact families have on society.

The United Nations designated 1994 as the International Year of Families. This was done as a result of the effects of shifting social and economic systems on family units in many parts of the world. Celebrate the value of families, individuals, civilizations, and cultures all throughout the world on May 15th, International Day of Families, and think back on the progress made since 1994. Since 1995, it has been repeated annually.

On this International Day, We should be thankful for our own families and mindful of the struggles of others on this day. What you create today is entirely up to you. It’s a time to honor your loved ones and show them how much they mean to you.

Awareness-raising activities, broadcasts, media reports, and national family days are commonplace on and around the actual date of International Day of Families and in the weeks preceding it.

For instance, many families continue to be involved in their adult children’s schooling. UoPeople is here to help you and your loved ones feel supported while you pursue higher education and a better future.

The United Nations established this day to remind us of the importance of family and to call attention to the ways in which our individual and collective actions can strengthen and support one another in the face of the many challenges that modern families face.

Families are changing in response to modern lifestyles and shifting demographics, yet they remain the bedrock of society. There is no such thing as a “typical” family, and those with more than their fair share of fortune should use this holiday season to educate themselves on the struggles of less fortunate households. The United Nations selects a new theme related to this every year for International Families Day.

There are many compelling arguments in favor of celebrating International Family Day. It serves as a timely reminder of the importance of family life while also drawing attention to issues that affect families throughout the world. Many of us wouldn’t be where we are now if it weren’t for our families.
