Jo Bichar Gaye is an upcoming Pakistani drama with a strong cast; Maya Ali is Sonia, Wahaj Ali is Roomi, and the latest talent Talha Chahour is seen playing the role of Captain Farukh. The drama is pre-partition and involves the story of Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh. We have a lot of expectations from GEO for this drama, and we do not doubt that they will deliver!
From what we can see in the trailer, Wahaj speaks Bengali and is connected to Maya Ali. The dynamics of their relationship are still undefined to us, but we are confident that their chemistry will be great. This is the first time they are playing an on-screen couple, but we are in for one hell of a ride, by the looks of it.
Furthermore, from the teasers and trailers of Jo Bichar Gaye, we can see that both Maya Ali and Wahaj Ali have solid characters and are not afraid to speak for what they believe to be correct, even if they have to contradict one another; which seems to be happening at a lot of instances.
But more than that is the name of the drama itself, Jo Bichar Gaye. The title signifies the story of two lovers who lost each other because of their differences and their passion for their country. Seeing the pictures, teasers, and trailers, we can’t help but wonder if Dastaan inspires the drama?
For those of you, who do not remember, Dastaan was a drama of the story of the partition of the subcontinent. Fawad Khan, Sanam Baloch, Ahsan Khan, and Saba Qamar played the main leads. In the end, there was no happy ending for anyone. It hurt so much to watch that, but it inspired a love for Pakistan and those who sacrificed everything for it.
Jo Bichar Gaye seems like the drama that will keep us hooked to the storyline, acting, and overall semantics. It marks 50 years to partition, and we think it is because we now have so many upcoming partitions dramas. We can’t wait to see how it unfolds and wish the drama’s creators all the best!
