After being sick for a long time, veteran Pakistani star Khalid Butt passed away on Thursday in Lahore. He had been sick with liver and kidney problems.
While Khaie is still airing on Geo Entertainment, Butt, who has been on TV in the country for decades, worked on it. He also had roles in many movies, but this thriller would be his last TV show.
People close to the actor’s family said that his funeral prayer would be said on Friday after the Asr prayer.
The great actor started working as an actor in the 1970s. He showed how talented he was by playing serious and funny parts in Urdu and Punjabi movies and TV shows.
Butt was also given the Prize of Performance Award by the government for his work in the entertainment business.
During his long and successful career, he had many memorable roles in popular drama series such as Teesra Kinara, Neelay Hath, and Boota From Toba Tek Singh.
The famous artist did more than just act; he also tried his hand at directing.
Butt’s wife, two boys, and two daughters will miss him.
On X, which used to be called Twitter, Butt’s co-star Sohail Ahmed prayed for the dead to reach higher ranks.
