The Hazara Express was involved in a terrible train accident near the Sarhari train station in the Sanghar district on Sunday. At least 35 people died and around 100 others were injured, and the cause of the accident is still unknown.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and other local officials told the media that 10 cars of the Hazara Express went off the tracks near the station, about 1.5 miles away, over a freshwater stream called Dadwah.
There were about 1,100 people on board the train that left Karachi. There were 19 cars on the train. The accident happened at 1:45 near the small town of Sarhari, which is about 30 miles from Nawabshah.
The accident was so bad that it even tore the train lines out of the ground. Shah, who went to the scene, said 30 people were killed, but the Edhi Foundation said 35 bodies were taken to a hospital in Nawabshah.

Railways Minister, Khawaja Saad Rafique and the train’s driver both thought the train might have been sabotaged, but the Nawabshah Division Commissioner Muhammad Abbas Baloch thought the train had an accident.
People who were there said they saw horrible things at the crash site. They said that bodies were all over the area outside of the train. They also said that they saw some bodies cut up on the track and others on the ground and in the river.
Before the official rescues and law enforcement could get to the scene, hundreds of locals and the passengers who were still alive started pulling people out of the wrecked cars.
More than a dozen children were also hurt. At the PMU Hospital, some people also had limbs cut off. By the time it got dark, 38 hurt people had been taken to the PMU Hospital, while the rest had been sent home.
