Due to Australia’s recent loss to the Proteas, Pakistan moved back to the top of the International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings for one-day international (ODI) teams on Sunday.

Getting 3,102 points In ODI, Pakistan is ranked as the best team by the ICC. The Men in Green have a rating of 115 and have played 27 games.

India came in behind Pakistan with the same score of 115 points. But even though the Men in Blue won the Asia Cup 2023 and had more points than Pakistan (4,701), they didn’t get the top spot because they had played 41 games, which was 14 more than Pakistan. Australia used to be number one, but after losing to South Africa, they are now number three with 3,166 points and a grade of 113. There have been 28 games for the Kangaroos.

India and Australia will play each other in a three-game series starting on September 22. This is another chance for them to take the top spot.

Mohali will be the site of the first game. The second game will be played on the 24th in Indore, and the last match will be played in Baroda on the 27th.

Pakistan, on the other hand, will now go straight to the World Cup. Their first game of the season is on October 6 in Hyderabad against the Netherlands.
